Buckeye
We raise large fowl (LF) Buckeyes. The Buckeye breed was bred originally by Nettie Metcalf in Ohio in 1896. They were bred for use as production birds for both meat and eggs. We raise them for eggs as well as for pets. Buckeyes are cold hardy and tend not to go broody very often. The are shown in the American class. Buckeyes come in both LF and bantam.
